Imbued with an unquenchable passion for music, Sam Roark, fondly known as “America’s Honky Tonk Angel,” has been leaving her unique footprint on the country music scene. This Kentucky-born artist, a native of the quaint southeastern town of Manchester in Clay County, has woven a melodious journey that started with her singing at age 3 and playing piano by age 5. Not just a gifted musician, Sam’s diverse talents extend to sports, as she was an active participant in high school basketball, softball, and track, and held a Black Belt in Karate by the age of 13, claiming victories in numerous national and international championships.

Her debut professional album, “Check Out Girl,” was brought to life in August 2010 on Kat Records in Nashville’s renowned Bayou Recording Studio, under the watchful eyes of country music veteran Joe Sun. The album made its public debut at the Clay Co. KY Days Festival, capturing the hearts of a large, adoring crowd. The Top 10 status of her first three singles on multiple esteemed country music charts, including Nashville’s New Music Weekly Magazine’s Main Country Top 40, is testament to Sam’s broad appeal and enchanting sound.

Sam’s journey has been punctuated by remarkable accolades, including her biography penned by the late Patsi Bale Cox, renowned for her association with stars like Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker, Loretta Lynn, and Wynonna Judd. She has been acknowledged by highly-regarded music critic Robert K. Oremann in Nashville’s Music Row magazine, and esteemed Nashville singer-songwriter-producer Cowboy Jack Clement admired the soothing quality of her voice. Her song “Oh Baby” secured the 11th spot on the popular Countrybear Internet Radio’s 2012 Country Top 100, and the same track held a solid No. 4 position for two weeks on Japan’s DJ Tom Kawai’s Real Country Top 200 Chart.

Her captivating voice and her authentic take on country music earned Sam the endearing nicknames of “America’s Honky Tonk Angel” and “Dixie Darling” from her Nashville peers. Having performed throughout Kentucky and its neighboring states with her exhilarating band “South Rock,” and the talented Nashville singer-songwriter Dillon Carmichael, Sam Roark continues to delight fans with her blend of high-energy performances and heartfelt country melodies.
